How To Reset The Check Engine Light on 1998 Dodge Dakota Truck

I need to get the check engine light to go off on my 1998 Dodge Dakota truck, but I don’t know where is the reset button located on it. Can anyone help me here?

Answer: There is no re-set button on 1998 Dodge Dakota truck, you either can remove the battery cable or use a scanner to clear the light off with. But if there’s a problem with the system the light will come back on and set its self again, so if this happens you need to get the code from it, most of the time removing the battery cable wont actually clear it. It will usually come back on, using a scanner will turn it off, that’s the only true way to do this and make it stay off, good luck.
